Department: HVA Cardiology Location: 22-18 Broadway, FairLawn, NJ Status: Full Time Shift: Days Hours: Variable Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies. Medical office experience preferred. Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software such as Athenahealth or Epic. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Collect patient information, including insurance details and care plans, ensuring all documentation is complete. Assist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments. Stay updated on medical terminology and office procedures to enhance patient interactions. Education Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent or a minimum of 3 years full-time experience in a related field required.
