Accounts Receivable Associate

Rahr Corporation is looking for a Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team in Shakopee Minnesota. In this role you will beapply customer receipts to the appropriate accounts, reconcile account balances, and address internal and external inquiries regarding outstanding invoices, payments, and customer credits. Completes the reconciliation of credit card payments and bridging those payments to the bank. Reconciles customer accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Reaches out to customer to obtain any missing remittance information. Accountable to metrics for productivity and accuracy, ensuring goals are prioritized, monitored, and achieved. Responds to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances. Communicates with customers to ensure valid payment information is on file. Collects and maintains customer account documentation, including resale certificates and sales and use tax exemption certificates as needed. Provides backup and support for other cash applications processes and customer applications processing as needed. Ensures all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs. MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Solid understanding of the accounts receivable process and general accounting principles. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). Proficient in accurately entering and managing data within accounting systems and spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and minimizing errors. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders, effectively managing challenging conversations. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees and vendors. Ability to productively collaborate with colleagues and management, working effectively across functions, levels, and business units, to achieve shared objectives. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough reviews and verifications of transactions, ensuring that all information is complete and accurate before finalizing. Proven ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines and recommend effective solutions to resolve problems or issues. Demonstrated ability to act with speed, agility, and accountability to drive desirable outcomes and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
