Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Hospital: Location: Summit Medical Center Address: 5655 Frist Boulevard Unit Name: PCU Building: Cost Center: 630/633 General Information Unit Specifics: · Number of Beds : 630 has 34 beds/ 633 has 25 · Patient Ratios : 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 3 techs when full on 630 and 2 techs when full on 633 · Type of equipment : bipaps, high flow o2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis. Wound vacs in conjunction with wound care · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: every other weekend requirement for contract, 3 12 hour shifts a week · Floating policy: may have to float in between PCU units or float to med-surg floors · Patient Experience requirements: hourly rounding on days, every 2 hour rounding on nights, AIDET and keeping up with communication boards on 7th floor. Dept 633 has tv communication boards. Hospital Specifics- · Certifications: BLS, ACLS Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : Critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip, insulin drip and heparin drip experience.
