Break Manager (Operations Manager)

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred
• Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire coach counsel train and mentor employees
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written listening and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week average
• Bachelors Degree preferred but not required

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Oversee outbound break bulk operations within a 250-door cross-dock freight facility.
• This includes the process of loading & unloading freight managing forklift traffic ensuring freight integrity and security in and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Maintain relationships with a team of 60 dock driver and leadership staff within the operation; working to develop coach and mentor staff towards company expectations and career development goals.
• Serve as an integral part of the hiring and onboarding of new employees and terminal staff.
• Monitor dock production ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
• Ensure company operational model compliance
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase
