Compliance Coordinator

Job DescriptionJob Description Sinomax USA is looking for a Product and Factory Compliance Coordinator to be responsible for supporting product, supplier, regulatory, and customer compliance activities across our product portfolio. This position works closely with Product Development, Quality, Operations, Sourcing, suppliers, testing laboratories, and customers to ensure products comply with applicable regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal standards. This role coordinates product testing, supplier compliance activities, and technical compliance initiatives while supporting compliance throughout the product development lifecycle. Candidates should have direct experience supporting consumer product regulatory compliance (rather than environmental, healthcare, or corporate compliance), including product testing, supplier compliance, and technical documentation. The duties of this role include: Research, interpret, and communicate applicable regulatory, retailer, customer, and internal product compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Coordinate product testing with third-party laboratories and determine applicable testing protocols based on regulatory and customer requirements. Review laboratory reports and evaluate product compliance with applicable regulations, customer specifications, and internal standards. Coordinate supplier compliance activities, including customer-specific audits, corrective actions, and supplier compliance initiatives. Monitor changes to domestic and international product regulations, retailer standards, and customer compliance requirements, and communicate impacts to internal stakeholders. Partner with Product Development, Quality, Operations, Sourcing, and Sales to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated into new product development and product change processes. Evaluate product materials, specifications, construction, and claims to determine applicable regulatory and customer compliance requirements. Develop, maintain, and improve compliance procedures, work instructions, and internal compliance processes. Provide technical guidance to internal departments and suppliers regarding product, regulatory, and customer compliance requirements. Investigate product compliance concerns and support corrective action activities when compliance issues arise. Support internal and external compliance audits and customer compliance reviews. Work closely with the Document Control Administrator to ensure required compliance documentation is complete, current, and available for customers, retailers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders. Lead and prepare internal and external audit and CAPA processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Three (3) or more years of experience in product compliance, quality assurance, engineering, product testing, product development, or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, testing laboratories, and cross‑functional teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Qualifications Experience with consumer product compliance, product testing, or quality systems. Familiarity with U.S. and international consumer product regulations, retailer compliance requirements, and customer specifications. Experience coordinating supplier audits, laboratory testing, product certifications, or corrective action activities. Experience in the bedding, furniture, textiles, foam, or other consumer products manufacturing industry. Company DescriptionIt’s all about innovation.
