. This on-site, contract role offers an excellent opportunity for an associate-level anesthesiologist to deliver high-quality anesthesia care in a supportive and professional environment.

As a Locum Anesthesiologist at 77 consultants, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive anesthesia services, including preoperative patient assessments, administering anesthesia during surgical and diagnostic procedures, and managing postoperative pain. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to patient safety and clinical excellence, working across a diverse range of surgical cases in a fast-paced medical practice setting.

 

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures
• Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations to assess patient health and anesthesia risks
• Develop individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and procedure requirements
• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels throughout procedures
• Manage postoperative pain and provide appropriate follow-up care
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe patient outcomes
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide resuscitation support as needed
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of anesthesia care in patient medical records
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, medical standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Board certification or active board candidacy in Anesthesiology
• Active and unrestricted medical license in good standing
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology
• Associate-level clinical experience in anesthesiology practice
• Strong proficiency in anesthetic agents, techniques, and monitoring equipment
• Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of anesthesia cases, including emergency situations
• Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clinical teams
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care standards, and ongoing professional development
• Level II Trauma Center functioning as a Level I Trauma Center

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Shift Times: 7a-7p, 7a-5p, or 7a-3p

Overnight and 24-hour call shifts available

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Diverse caseloads

Supervising 1-3 ORs under a care team model

Support Staff: CRNAs

EMR: Epic, Qgenda, and Patient Keeper

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
