Salesforce DeveloperThe Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining solutions across University Advancement's Salesforce ecosystem centered around Kindsight's ascend managed package. The role combines strong hands-on software development, thoughtful technical design, adherence to best practices, and stewardship of code quality. The Salesforce Developer manages the full application development lifecycle, working with cross-functional teams in the design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions. The ideal candidate brings their expertise to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, performant, and aligned with business and architectural standards. This role reports directly to the Director of Application Services within Advancements Services.Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:Architecture and DesignDevelopment & CustomizationRelease Management & DevOpsData Modeling, Mapping, and TransformationTesting and Quality AssuranceCompliance and GovernanceMinimum Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree with preference in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field/discipline. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development and configuration. Salesforce Certified Platform DeveloperOther Required Qualifications - High proficiency in Apex developments, including classes, triggers, asynchronous processing, and integration callouts. Advanced experience in building Lightning Web Components (LWC) with reusable, modular design patterns. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Salesforce data models, including objects, relationships, and security controls. Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware tools within a hybrid cloud ecosystem. Experience with DevOps and source control solutions.Preferred Qualifications - Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II Familiarity with advancement/fundraising data sets, including biographic data workflows and fundraising-related transactions. Familiarity with Kindsight ascend or AdvancementRM managed package. Experience in working within a hybrid ecosystem (cloud and on-premise platforms). Experience in higher education and/or not-for-profit industry.
