Emergency Medicine Physician

Occupational Medicine/Urgent Care Opportunity in Bakersfield, California Multi-specialty occupational medical/orthopedic urgent care outpatient clinics located in Bakersfield, CA are seeking a full-time Physician (MD/DO) to join our team. The role focuses on providing high quality medical care by examining patients and treating injuries, while collaborating with physicians, physician assistants, nurses, surgeons, and physical therapists. There is no call, weekends or nights Responsibilities Conduct routine check‑ups to assess patients’ health conditions and identify potential issues. Perform physical examinations (DOT certification a plus). Examine and treat injuries, and refer patients to specialists as needed (ophthalmologists, orthopedists, neurologists, etc.). Keep accurate records of patients’ diseases, operations, allergies, and other significant information. Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, and nurses to form a high‑performing medical team. Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients. Stay current with developments and best practices by attending conferences and seminars. Qualifications Valid and unrestricted California medical license and DEA registration. Excellent communication skills. Ability and comfort using an electronic health record system. Willingness to train capable new graduates. Preferred Qualifications Experience or training in Family Practice, Urgent Care, Sports Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Practice, PM&R, Emergency Medicine, or Occupational Medicine. Orthopedics, internal medicine, occupational medicine, or emergency room experience. Certified MRO and FMCSA certification to perform DOT examinations. Knowledge of disability ratings. Interest in working with new technologies. Proven experience as a physician. Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics. Broad knowledge of common medications, side effects, and contraindications. In‑depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and best practices. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Respect for patient confidentiality. Compassionate and approachable. Responsible and trustworthy. Doctor of Medicine degree (MD/DO) and valid license to practice in California.
