Job Summary Assist with delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Your Schedule PRN Night Shift - 6:45 pm - 7:15 am PRN staff required to work a minimum of four 12‑hour shifts every six weeks; full‑time orientation period (2–3 12‑hour shifts per week) for first 4 weeks. All employees required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during first week. What You Need to Qualify Required High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) AND one of the following: Current enrollment in a professional RN program with successful completion of first semester (including clinical). Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certification required). Minimum of one year recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician. Preferred One year previous experience in a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities Assist with delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under supervision of licensed nurse. Assist with day‑to‑day patient care. Facilitate efficient and safe patient care and flow by following work area standards. Serve as liaison for communication and education of patient and family needs. Support unit operations and patient flow by maintaining supplies, equipment, and unit environmental standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Technical Capabilities Environment of Care (Fundamental Awareness): Limited experience or training with setup/maintenance of exam rooms, supplies, equipment. Care Partner Patient Documentation (Fundamental Awareness): Limited experience or training with clinical applications for patient documentation. Clinical Competencies (Novice): Sufficient proficiency to assist and perform clinical care including vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, medication administration, point‑of‑care testing as directed by unit standards. Planning & Organizing (Fundamental Awareness): Ability to anticipate basic resource needs, prioritize, schedule activities, meet deadlines, organize work. Core Accountabilities Routine tasks may impact team performance; occasional guidance. Problem solving and complexity of work: Limited discretion used to solve routine problems.
