Join Our Team as a Shadehouse Sales Associate at Casaplanta Garden Center!

Casaplanta Garden Center, located in Miami, FL, is looking for a passionate and dependable Shadehouse Sales Associate to join our team. This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys retail sales, customer service, and all things green.

What You’ll Do

As a Shadehouse Sales Associate, you’ll play a key role in creating an inviting and shoppable Shadehouse department. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting customers in selecting shadehouse and interior plants.
• Answering basic plant care questions and recommending products like pottery, soil, and fertilizers.
• Upselling add-on items such as moss poles, plant stands, and other plant care products.
• Watering plants throughout the Shadehouse as needed.
• Cleaning, pruning, organizing, and maintaining plant displays.
• Restocking plants, pottery, soil, and other items to ensure the Shadehouse remains fully stocked and visually appealing.
• Keeping walkways, tables, and displays clean and tidy.
• Communicating plant needs, inventory requests, and customer feedback to the Shadehouse Lead or management.
• Supporting the Shadehouse team with daily tasks to maintain a beautiful and functional department.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone who is enthusiastic, responsible, and eager to learn. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed in this role:

• Language Skills : Must speak English.
• Experience : Previous experience in customer service or retail is required. Experience in a plant nursery or garden center is preferred.
• Customer Focus : Comfortable speaking with customers and helping them find the perfect plants.
• Plant Knowledge : Willingness to learn about shadehouse and interior plants, as well as plant care products.
• Skills : Ability to recommend plants, pottery, soil, fertilizers, and other products to customers.
• Work Ethic : Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Availability : Must be available to work Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Job Details

• Job Type : Part-time
• Pay : $14.00 - $16.00 per hour, depending on previous experience
• Expected Hours : 25 – 32 hours per week
• Schedule : Day shifts on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
• Employment Requirements : Employment is contingent on a background check, and some positions may require pre-employment drug screening.
