Land & Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems Section Leader

Position Overview Land & Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems Lead for Raytheon Land & Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems Department. The role provides technical guidance and supervision to meet project commitments, working with factories and suppliers to deliver data-based evidence for decision‑making in electrical design and production. Responsibilities Performance management and career development activities Support hiring efforts (resume reviews, interviews, etc.) Oversee direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition Collaborate and communicate with other sections and teams Support department and directorate level initiatives Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures Oversight of personnel issue resolution Manage employee timecards Adhere to and ensure alignment with Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for 15–20% of the employee’s time Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Minimum of 8 years of prior Engineering experience Experience in System Engineering, Production Engineering, or Production Test Engineering Experience in analysis, testing, measurement or integration of electrical products or systems, and leading cross‑functional teams or projects Experience with missile guidance section or subassembly production and development Strong understanding of all phases of the product development lifecycle Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret) required prior to start date U.S. citizenship required Preferred: Master’s degree (STEM) Experience in a matrix organization Experience serving as a Responsible Engineering Authority, Control Account Manager, or Integrated Product Team Lead Failure investigation, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation experience Experience in production support of RF guidance systems Strong emotional intelligence, organizational, planning, coordination, engineering discipline, and communication skills Benefits Relocation assistance available. Competitive salary range $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
