Job Title: CNC Maintenance Mechanic III Location: Alsip, IL Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (Weekends as needed) Pay: Starting pay $36.40 per hour, full‑time hourly position. Sign‑on bonus $2,000. Job Overview: The CNC Maintenance Mechanic is a team member who plans, installs, and repairs CNC and manual machines. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, adherence to safety procedures, and collaboration within a mission‑driven environment. Responsibilities: Prioritize and adhere to company safety procedures to ensure the well‑being of coworkers, contractors, customers, and property. Promote a culture of safety, report unsafe practices, and actively contribute to a secure working environment. Maintain a clean and safe workplace, in line with preventative maintenance programs. Prepare and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts. Lead equipment installation, removal, or relocation. Interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, troubleshoot, and determine repair needs. Implement Lock Out/Tag Out procedures when servicing machines. Demonstrate excellence in performing all other assigned duties. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machines. At least 3 years of maintenance experience with CNC and manual machine equipment. At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, as well as heating, cooling, and general building systems. At least 2 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. At least 2 years of experience utilizing measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, meters, calipers, and other measuring tools. Core Competencies: Mechanical aptitude and technical skills with precision tools, machinery, and industrial processes. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fostering teamwork. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Critical thinking and problem‑solving in technical or fast‑paced environments. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb ladders, work in restricted spaces and high elevations (e.g., scissor lift). Preferences: HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Union Relationship: The position is fully based onsite at Alsip, IL. The company partners with District No. 8 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, a closed shop. New employees are probationary for the first 60 working days and then join the union with initiation fee and monthly dues.
