Schedule

Day shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (06:45 - 15:15) with call every third day and potential for two weekends per month.

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician will be responsible for assisting in open heart procedures, working within a Level I trauma facility. The role requires adherence to strict call and response time protocols, as well as adhering to facility policies regarding patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures, specifically in open heart surgeries.
• Ensure proper sterilization and readiness of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Monitor and maintain patient safety and comfort during surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room).
• Certification through NBSTSA is mandatory; NCCT certification is not accepted.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is essential.
• Previous experience in a Level I trauma center is required.
• Ability to care for COVID-19 patients as necessary.
