Classification: Exempt, .8-1.0 FTE

Salary range: $78,000 – $85,000

The Center for Community Counseling’s (CCC) mission is Transforming Lives and Healing Relationships. We make therapy accessible and affordable for those who have no other means of receiving support. The Center for Community Counseling believes everyone deserves the sense of peace, security and stability good mental health brings.

Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director provides strategic direction and operational leadership of the Center for Community Counseling, ensuring effective management and quality sustainable programs that advance the organization’s mission and uphold its values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead CCC’s strategic planning efforts in collaboration with the Board of Directors; lead annual planning and manage CCC’s performance to meet goals and plans, regularly reporting on progress against established metrics.

• Communicate effectively with the Board of Directors and provide, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.

• Supervise all staff along with any contracted support professionals.

• Set clear direction, priorities, and expectations for management and staff; promote teamwork and collaboration; foster professional growth, high performance, and a culture of trauma-informed care, respect, diversity, and inclusion.

• Ensure CCC has the staffing and systems needed to support effective and efficient operations, administration, and facility needs. Be responsible for hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff.

• Develop the annual budget, management of financial/accounting functions, and appropriate controls and use of funds. Work with the Board Treasurer to submit to the Board a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements which accurately reflect the financial position of the organization.

• Develop and strengthen donor relationships through implementation of strategic cultivation, solicitation and stewardship initiatives that expand donor support for CCC’s mission. In collaboration with the Board of Directors, lead fund development, maintaining and building on existing revenue streams and developing new ones.

• Serve as a spokesperson for CCC, represent the organization in public forums. Establish and maintain partnerships and relationships that support CCC’s efforts, working with diverse stakeholders, community partners, funders and donors. Lead the enhancement of CCC’s image and role in the community by being active and visible in the community through close working relationships with other professional, civic, non-profit and private organizations.

• Oversee the periodic evaluation of programs efficacy, quality and financial viability in cooperation with the Clinical Director.

• Report regularly to the Board of Directors, support Board development, operations, and committees. Perform other duties as assigned by the Board.

Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, counseling or non-profit management.
• Master’s degree or additional years of related experience preferred.
• Five years of relevant leadership and management experience. A working knowledge of behavioral health care and the social and economic barriers that affect access.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface with and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups.
• Proven skills and track record in fundraising.
• A solid grasp of financial planning, management and oversight.
• Experience formulating strategies and plans, building consensus, and managing change.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment required.
