About the Role
The Company is in need of a Senior Counsel with a focus on commercial litigation to take on a pivotal role as firmwide CDCA counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of federal litigation, from pleadings to court appearances, and ensuring compliance with local rules and procedures. This position requires a deep understanding of CDCA practice, the ability to act as local and lead counsel in federal court, and a proven track record in handling complex federal cases. The role also involves providing strategic guidance on federal litigation and coordinating with internal and external legal teams across different jurisdictions. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should have a J.D. from an accredited law school, active membership in the California Bar, and at least 8 years' of experience in commercial or complex litigation, with a significant background in federal court. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal research, writing, and analytical skill set, and the ability to independently manage federal litigation matters. Familiarity with the Central District of California, including its judicial preferences and local rules, is essential.
