Role Description The Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, KY. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial property and casualty insurance accounts, including handling policy renewals, endorsements, and coverage changes. The account manager responds to client inquiries, processes certificates of insurance, reviews policies for accuracy, and ensures timely resolution of service requests. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with carriers and underwriters, preparing proposals and quotes, supporting producers with new and renewal business, and maintaining up-to-date client records in agency systems. The role requires proactive communication with clients to identify coverage needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and support account retention and growth. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to explain coverage options in understandable terms. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, including responsiveness, empathy, and a focus on building long-term client relationships. Candidates should possess Sales and Account Management skills, including experience supporting new and renewal business, cross-selling, and managing a book of commercial clients. Candidates should possess Purchasing and negotiation skills, including working with carriers to obtain favorable terms and pricing for clients. Relevant qualifications include prior experience in commercial property & casualty insurance, preferably in an agency or brokerage setting. Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe) is strongly preferred. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and proficiency in using agency management systems and standard office software.
