Senior Accountant 0 2 days ago Job Description Experience: Senior Level Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 per year Job Details --------- We are currently seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of fixed assets. This role will play a crucial part in the financial management of our company, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records while providing strategic insights based on financial analysis. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Financial Controller and will work closely with other members of the finance team. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all fixed asset accounting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of acquisitions, disposals and depreciation. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Conduct regular ledger activities to ensure accuracy and conformity with established accounting standards and procedures. Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department. Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters. Support month-end and year-end close process. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles. Liaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification would be an added advantage. Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably within the Construction industry. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial management. Experience with fixed asset accounting is mandatory. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
