Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- While we have processes in place to help generate new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline of potential clients through proactive prospecting, networking, and marketing efforts is also required.
- Present customized insurance solutions to meet clients' specific needs including but not limited to homeowners, auto, umbrella, earthquake, and personal articles floaters.
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their personal and family insurance needs
- Create and present comprehensive insurance proposals and quotations to potential clients, clearly explaining policy terms, conditions, and pricing.
- Review current policy renewals to look for potential cross-sell opportunities and potential gaps in coverage.
- Communicate with clients regarding increased renewal premiums while looking for potential savings during coverage reviews and remarket to different carriers as necessary.
- Leverage industry knowledge to keep clients informed on market trends, emerging risks, and changes in regulations that may affect their insurance needs.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and changes in personal lines insurance products.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports on sales performance and account activities.
- Knowledge and experience with Mercury Insurance Company a must
- Valid Property and Casualty License
- 5 years of experience in sales
- Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and effectively prioritizing risks to manage concurrent workflow.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Must have a strong understanding of homeowners and personal auto coverage.
- Must have a strong understanding of commercial insurance.
- Must possess a developing knowledge of personal insurance markets to place new business and understand the supplemental insurance marketplace.
