A day in the life

You clock in, scan the day’s queue, and pull the next job ticket. Substrates are staged, inks and coatings are checked, and the Mark Andy P‑Series comes to life. You load material, configure files, dial in color profiles, and bring the press up to speed. Throughout the run you watch registration like a hawk, verify color accuracy against brand standards, and make disciplined adjustments to keep quality locked in. Between jobs you clean, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with prepress, finishing, and your supervisor to keep production flowing safely and on schedule.

Operate, set up, and maintain Mark Andy P‑Series narrow‑web flexographic presses to produce high‑quality pressure‑sensitive labels and packaging that meet customer specifications, quality expectations, and production timelines.

• Run and maintain Mark Andy P‑Series equipment to meet job ticket requirements and customer specs.
• Interpret job orders and schedules to determine setup: substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing.
• Load materials, configure print files, calibrate color profiles, and prepare the press for accurate production.
• Monitor color, registration, and print fidelity during runs; make precise adjustments to hold standards.
• Perform routine color calibration to maintain brand color consistency and overall print quality.
• Conduct quality checks against company and customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot defects, equipment issues, and workflow bottlenecks to reduce waste and downtime.
• Complete regular cleaning, preventative maintenance, and report mechanical issues.
• Work safely and keep the press area clean and organized.
• Coordinate with production supervision, prepress, and finishing to hit throughput and delivery goals.

• Hands‑on experience running Mark Andy P‑Series or similar narrow‑web flexographic presses.
• Knowledge of substrates for pressure‑sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible, and specialty packaging.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the discipline to hold tight color and print quality.
• Ability to read and follow job tickets, work orders, and production schedules.
• Familiarity with flexographic systems, color management, and RIP software (preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and perform minor adjustments.
• Comfort standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
