Building Supervisor

Building SupervisorUnder administrative direction of the Mary Ann Young Center Staff, Building Supervisors are responsible for the supervision of rentals at MAYC. Hours and days vary but include evening and weekend hours. Hours you may be required to work depending on rentals include:Monday - Friday 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.Saturday - Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.Duties include but are not limited to:Attend an orientation and training session.Open and close the facility properly.Set up rooms for rental.Arrange rooms between rentals as needed.Complete facility checklist following each rental to determine any damage.Maintain log of any damage or incident occurring.Effective judgments regarding the well-being of participants and program.Maintain safety, discipline and control in an active environment.Complete and submit any necessary reports and forms in a timely manner including time sheets, incident or accident reports.Responsible for finding a substitute from supplied list if unable to work assigned shift.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to ensure rentals adhere to reserved timelines.Ability to determine and maintain a safe environment and act accordingly in an emergency.Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and the general public.Ability to work with diverse populations.Ability to demonstrate leadership skills.Basic knowledge of use of defibrillator.Supplemental Information:Minimum QualificationsApplicants must be at least 18 years of ageConditions of EmploymentMust possess a valid Class D driver's license with a good driving record.Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a BCA background check and driver's check.Application MaterialsTo complete an application please click on the green apply button at the top of this posting.For a paper application stop at City Hall, located at 10801 Town Square Drive NE, Blaine, MN 55449, and request a paper copy from Human Resources.This position is not eligible for benefits.
