When you work in the deli department you’ll be on the front lines of customer service—your smile can make the difference between a good and a great shopping experience. What You’ll Do Ensure the safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, adhering to the company steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer/cooler/deli area, handling claims and returns, zoning the area, receiving and stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, completing audits, paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise. Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, locating merchandise and assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products to members, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services. Follow company policies related to the freezer/cooler area by complying with food handling policies, operating, repairing, and sanitizing equipment, following cold‑chain procedures when stocking merchandise, cleaning the area, monitoring freezer/cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation, and reporting issues to management. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications None specified. Compensation Hourly wage: $17.00 to $25.00. Additional premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances.
