This opportunity is ideal for a Pharmacist ready to make a meaningful impact in a pediatric hospital setting during night shifts. The position offers a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, providing a balanced work-life rhythm while supporting critical overnight pharmacy operations.


Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule: Night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 7 days on followed by 7 days off

Job Type: Contract, 13 weeks with potential extension

Systems Used: EPIC, Omnicell


Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense medications, focusing on pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
• Provide expert guidance on weight-based pediatric dosing to ensure safe and effective medication administration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes overnight.
• Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems to maintain thorough documentation and streamline pharmacy workflows.
• Support emergency medication needs and adjust plans as necessary during night shifts.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacist license.
• Proven hospital pharmacy experience, including overnight shift work.
• Comfort and competency with pediatric patients and dosing principles.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with clinical staff.
