Century Metals & Supplies is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our 1st shift production team. This position is responsible for safely moving and staging raw materials for production and transporting processed materials throughout the facility.

This position requires an experienced forklift operator who is comfortable handling heavy, oversized, long, and unbalanced materials in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM

Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
Overtime may be available based on business needs but is not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to safely move and stage coils and other materials throughout the facility.
• Deliver and stage raw materials at designated production areas based on production needs.
• Prepare coils for production, including removing wrapping or packaging as needed.
• Move cut and processed metal from production areas to packaging or other designated locations.
• Safely handle heavy, oversized, long, and irregularly shaped materials.
• Keep materials organized and properly staged to support production flow.
• Assist with general material movement and warehouse needs as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and safe forklift operating practices.
• Communicate effectively with production employees when moving and staging materials.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience required. Candidates must be comfortable operating a forklift independently in an industrial or warehouse environment.
• Experience handling heavy, oversized, long, or unbalanced loads strongly preferred.
• Manufacturing, metals, or industrial warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is required for safety and coordination with the production team on this shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical warehouse work throughout the shift.
• Ability to work safely around heavy materials, forklifts, and operating production equipment.
• Dependable and able to consistently report for a 5:00 AM start time.
