Markets Operations – APAC Commodities Operations Officer (Hybrid) Job Req Id: 26972434 Location: Singapore, Singapore, Singapore Job Type: Hybrid Posted: Jun. 16, 2026 Job Overview Citi Markets Operations is evolving toward a target operating model, focusing on robust controls and operational excellence. The Commodities Operations Officer supports the daily processing of commodity transactions, ensuring timely and accurate trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation. The role collaborates with global stakeholders, contributes to risk management, and drives process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Process commodity trade confirmation and settlement in a timely and accurate manner. Perform physical gold reconciliation against external vaults and clients. Engage proactively with Singapore and global Commodities stakeholders (Business, Technology, Finance/PCG, Legal, etc.) to support business and client needs. Collaborate with Risk & Control to develop and adhere to effective control frameworks meeting audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Shape and build standardized operational workflows and service standards for new product/production variations launched by the Global/APAC Commodities business (e.g., NPAC process). Ensure robust infrastructure and tools (Dashboards, MIS, Alerts, etc.) are in place to manage risk. Set up static data to facilitate trade booking accurately and promptly. Investigate cash breaks in reconciliations in coordination with the global Cash Breaks team. Contribute to the development of new systematic solutions related to operational functions and process improvements. Escalate control gaps and issues to leadership, implementing procedures and solutions to mitigate risk. Oversee critical core operations activities, maintaining a culture of continuous monitoring and timely risk escalation. Collaborate daily across Global Clients, Trading, and Operations teams to provide solutions, identify root causes, and resolve issues. Identify trends, synergies, and weaknesses across products and regions, recommending control enhancements. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, robust service, and control environment. Champion diversity and inclusion to create an environment where people can thrive. Provide input to simplify and improve processes, deliver enhancements to the control environment, and contribute to strategic platform re‑engineering initiatives. Support initiatives to improve straight‑through processing rates, including robotics, workflow, and other innovative re‑engineering techniques. Qualifications and Skills University degree or equivalent work experience (preferred). 1–3+ years of relevant experience in Tier 1 global financial or commodity firms. Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with senior management. Strong risk management and control mindset. Excellent project management and UAT skills. Self‑reliant, good problem solver, and results‑oriented. Strong awareness of external and internal best practices, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint.
