Benefits: including health, dental, vision, PTO, holiday, etc...Senior Systems Safety Engineer MIL-STD-882E – ONSITE – TucsonLeading one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programsPerforming MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses, or customer's approved equivalentCoordinating with customer safety representatives to gain safety approval from appropriate Safety Review Board authoritiesPerforming System Safety Program, hazard analyses or design analysesBriefing safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval processInterpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standardsPreparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program Reliability, System Safety, and SupportabilityCoordinating with customer safety representatives to gain safety approval from appropriate Safety Review Board authoritiesWorking across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controlsCollaborating with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposalBackgrounds typically require: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant Safety Engineering experience. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.Experience with: System Safety Engineering with software or firmware or electrical engineering experiencePluses:Experience in weapon combat systemsExperience with DoD System Safety ProgramsExperience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development
