Lead Registered Nurse RN Family Medicine FT - Chesterfield

Registered Nurse RN Family Medicine 30795 23 Mile Rd. Suite 205 Chesterfield Full Time - 5-8 hour shifts per week Responsibilities Candidate responsibilities include patient assessment, in-basket management, patient education, medication refills, phone triage and leadership responsibilities. Provides leadership for a group of four or more staff (e.g. RNs, MAs, CSRs, etc.). Performs leadership functions about 30% of the time, and duties of a Registered Nurse 70% of the time. Utilizes nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. Supervises other nursing and support staff as appropriate. Candidate Preferences Minimum of 2 years RN experience in inpatient or ambulatory/clinic environment. Leadership experience required. Good communicator. Education & Experience Required Graduate from a school of nursing. Successful completion of HFHS (Parent Operating Group) Pharmacology test. Two to three years of nursing experience in a clinical environment. Demonstrated leadership ability and clinical knowledge. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Certificates & Licensure Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Works in a patient care setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases. May require heavy lifting of patients and/or equipment.
