Lead Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical ICU Stepdown - $36-58 per hour

Job Title and Location Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical ICU Stepdown Lead – Valley Park, Missouri.Job ID: 11379 Overview Provide critical care support in a Surgical Stepdown unit for high acuity transplant, abdominal, orthopaedic, trauma, ENT, vascular, and plastic surgery patients. Full‑time, 3‑night 12‑hour shifts. Sign‑on bonus available up to $15,000. Requires at least 2years RN experience. Responsibilities Identify and resolve gaps in care from hospitalization through discharge and into ambulatory settings; critically assess patient data to proactively mitigate changes in condition and coordinate interprofessional consults. Develop and implement complex individual care plans with defined goals, collaborating with interprofessional team members, patients, families, and caregivers, following established nursing standards. Promote evidence‑based practice by participating in journal club, facilitating practice changes, conducting literature searches, and disseminating new knowledge to unit and organization. Explore opportunities to advance nursing practice through community service events, patient/family education, advisory boards, ethics committees, adjunct faculty roles, and specialty organization leadership. Analyze practice gaps and provide feedback to peers and leadership to enhance safe patient care; evaluate patient and family experience to improve satisfaction and quality of care. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing. Experience: 2–5years active RN experience. Supervisory experience: none required. Licenses & Certifications: Current RN license. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Experience: 5–10years RN experience.
