Preferred Qualifications Must have ICU experience CVICU experience preferred Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards of care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on illness/injury management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engages in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patients, families, or caregivers. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the care plan across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintains constant alertness and safety as a safety‑sensitive position.
