Registered Nurse (RN) - Internal Medicine - $32-48 per hour

Acute Internal Medicine Registered Nurse – Nights (Valley Park, Missouri) Position Overview This full‑time role involves 12‑hour night shifts from 7pm to 7am, with $15k SOB eligible. The RN will provide high‑quality care for patients experiencing acute medical conditions, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective treatment. The position supports progression through BJC’s RN Career Ladder and emphasizes professional development and leadership. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on illness management, home care, medication administration, and post‑treatment needs. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and professional development. Develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members. Proactively plan and communicate care across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and to assess patient preferences and barriers. Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely as this is a safety‑sensitive position. Qualifications Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (minimum); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Licensure: Current RN license.
