Job Description

This role oversees day-to-day warehouse operations, with a focus on organizing, planning, and monitoring all shipping and receiving activities. The position manages storage and inventory, coordinates order fulfillment, and directs shipping dock operations to ensure accurate and efficient distribution of materials received from suppliers and vendors. The specialist upholds safety and hazard control methods in alignment with quality standards and maintains full compliance.

Responsibilities

• Organize, plan, and monitor daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials.

• Direct storage and inventory processes, including placing, tracking, and maintaining stock in the warehouse.

• Manage order pulling and fulfillment activities to ensure orders are picked, staged, and prepared accurately for shipment.

• Oversee shipping dock operations, including loading and unloading materials, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining orderly dock workflows.

• Strategize and coordinate the distribution of received items from suppliers or vendors to appropriate storage locations or internal departments.

• Perform material handling tasks, including operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Execute inventory control activities such as cycle counts and data entry to maintain accurate inventory records.

• Ensure all warehouse activities follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and internal quality procedures.

• Identify and handle non-conforming products in accordance with established procedures and support Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to safety and hazard control methods with full compliance to safety standards.

• Follow instructions and respond to management direction while completing work in a timely and reliable manner.

• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support efficient warehouse operations and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

The role follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing consistent daytime hours.

The environment focuses on organization, cleanliness, and safety, with clear expectations around compliance with GMP and hazard control methods.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
