Our Residential Programs establish life-changing relationships with our participants and provide opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation, and recovery. The Program Director is responsible for overseeing select CHD Residential programs that support individuals in their recovery from mental illness, ensuring clinical and operational effectiveness. They provide training and supervision to Program Managers, foster open communication and accountability among staff, and serve as a liaison to service providers and the broader community. The role includes conducting diagnostic assessments, reviewing program documentation to ensure compliance with agency and Medicaid standards, and supporting third-party billing processes. Additionally, the Program Director is expected to be available for urgent matters outside of regular work hours. Requirements High school diploma or GED Bachelor's human services preferred At least 3 years of experience working with individuals with psychiatric needs 3 years of supervisory experience Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills Ability to build relationships with community partners and service providers Experience with staff training, client advocacy, and service coordination Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage crisis situations using sound judgment Reliable automobile and valid driver’s license Success Factors The Program Director should actively support the philosophy of the Agency and maintain a high level of commitment to program staff and clients.
