- Support the Executive Director in the daily operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes.
- Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and performance management.
- Administer 401(k) plans, including enrollments, updates, and communication with plan providers.
- Manage group insurance programs for health, dental, and vision, ensuring accurate enrollment and administration.
- Monitor OSHA compliance and maintain workplace safety programs across all facilities.
- Provide guidance and training to facility HR and management teams on wage and hour laws, employment policies, and labor regulations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Maintain personnel records, employee files, and confidential HR documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead or participate in investigations related to employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
- Conduct regular visits to facilities (up to 70% travel) to support training, audits, and safety meetings.
- Collaborate with facility leadership on recruitment strategies and retention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, including EEOC, FMLA, HIPAA, and ADA.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly desired.
- One to three years of HR experience required.
- Experience working in long-term care, nursing homes, or healthcare environments preferred.
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Microsoft Access a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments efficiently.
- Proven professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels.
- Previous experience in 401(k) administration preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time to visit facilities across the region.
