Sanitation Engineer

The Sanitation Engineer is responsible for ensuring trash is transported, processed, and disposed properly to the compactor, while ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards in all areas pertaining to garbage management. Key Duties & Responsibilities Keep all designated garbage collection areas clean and cleared daily Transport all garbage to defined collection areas or process with the trash compactor accordingly Work in close coordination with the Stewarding team to ensure fulfillment of property needs Execute daily tasks provided by Stewarding leadership, involving overall property back‑of‑house support Communicate potential dumpster‑cycling with the Facilities team Safely operate a company side‑by‑side vehicle, transporting garbage throughout the resort, following all provided SOPs, guidelines, and maintenance directives Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Steward or other members of Management Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements Prior experience in sanitation services, garbage collection, or janitorial work preferred but not required Knowledge of basic sanitation best practices Strong commitment to safety standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Medical insurance – 80% of premium paid by employer Health Savings Account with $50 employer contribution per pay period Dental, vision & life insurance – 100% of premium paid by employer 5 weeks of PTO (Paid Time Off) 8 paid holidays Uniform provided & complimentary laundering Complimentary transportation to/from resort Complimentary meal per shift Discounts at F&B outlets on property 14 nights per year at $100/night* at Kerzner Properties worldwide Winter season includes complimentary ski pass to Big Sky Resort based on availability or $225 reimbursement toward gym membership Physical Requirements The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation.
