Human Resource Operations Technician

Located in Virginia with remote work options, VCCS-Shared Services Center supports HR operations across the Commonwealth. This entry level role centers on guiding onboarding and offboarding lifecycles and maintaining HRIS data across multiple systems under the HR Operations team. Responsibilities Provide entry-level technical service in one or more functional areas of human resource management. Collaborate with onboarding and offboarding systems to initiate and verify lifecycle processes from start to finish. Maintain accurate and up-to-date data across multiple HRIS platforms, with proper documentation and reporting. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Basic math, professional telephone etiquette, and standard business communications. Familiarity with computer systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of state and federal employment practices and regulations. Understanding of process-improvement techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel. Strong verbal communication, writing, and proofreading/editing skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Advanced customer service capabilities and analytical thinking with proven problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Applied knowledge of human resource principles and applicable laws and regulations.i Ability to provide accurate and timely data analyses and reports. Flexibility to work hours as needed and travel to the System Office or other colleges for training and meetings. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience handling multiple administrative tasks and data entry, with proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
