Perioperative RN – Surgical Services

Schedule: - Primarily 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts; 10-hour days (4/day) may be possible. - On-call: Yes — variable nights/weekends; ~8 call shifts/month. - Weekends: Required (approximately every 3rd or 4th weekend depending on rotation/time off).

Requirements: - Valid RN license in MT or Compact RN license required at time of submission. - Minimum of 2 years of RN experience. - Experience working in a critical access hospital. - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS. - Experience with obstetric surgical cases (C-sections). - Familiarity with a broad range of general and specialty procedures (OBGYN, ortho, ENT, dental, GI). - Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Epic.

Roles & Responsibilities: - Provide pre-operative assessments and ensure patient readiness for surgery. - Circulate in the operating room, assisting with various surgical procedures. - Administer post-anesthesia care in PACU Phase I & II. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care. - Monitor patient progress throughout the perioperative continuum, from pre-op through discharge. - Adhere to infection control protocols and universal safety measures.

Compliance / Notes: - Completion of compliance packet required prior to start (deadline: Monday prior to start). - Two references covering at least one year within the last three years are required. - Pre-start modules must be completed prior to start (average ~16 hours).
