Charting system: Epic (required). Requirements Experience Minimum 2 years of experience (prefer 3). Accepts first-time travelers with experience in large high-volume settings. Must have performed >300 births per month or be comfortable in a very fast paced unit. Daily double labor assignments expected. Skills & Certifications Circulate; sterile vaginal exam; competent immediate newborn care. Certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP. Job Details RATIOS: 2:1 (average 20 births in 24 hrs, 30-40 admits, 40 visits/day, 20 rooms). Contract length accepted: 13-26 weeks. Call requirement: None. Float requirement: Float as needed (Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit). Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Patient Diagnoses Obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for all intrapartum and for high-risk antepartum and postpartum care; also care for under-16-week high-risk patients. Unit performs scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births, rescue cervical cerclage, and routine outpatient procedures such as antenatal fetal surveillance, IV hydration, and medication administration.
