This Direct Hire opportunity in Byers, CO, is ideal for a dedicated pharmacist ready to take on leadership within a community pharmacy setting. The role demands a balance of supervisory responsibilities and hands-on pharmacy practice, focused on prescription accuracy, patient care, and regulatory compliance.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday: 9am – 6pm
- Saturday: 9am – 3pm
- Sundays: Closed
Responsibilities:
- Interpret prescription orders, clarifying with prescribers or patients when necessary
- Perform Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) and verify prescription authenticity
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, providing guidance to ensure smooth operations
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, drug interactions, and storage
- Review prescription fulfillment for accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Work with robotics, automation, and pharmacy technology within production workflows
- Assist with medication procurement and shipping/delivery processes
- Serve as backup to the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), supporting compliance and regulatory tasks
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Complete prescription transfers and other pharmacy duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Colorado
- At least 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred, with retail and/or insurance/healthcare sector experience a plus
- Familiarity with standard pharmacy dispensing practices and procedures
