Cost Accountant

Maintain and monitor the cost accounting system, ensuring accurate tracking of all direct and indirect costs related to product manufacturing and installation, including raw materials, labor, overhead, and installation expenses Perform regular inventory valuation and reconciliation, coordinating with the Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure inventory records in NetSuite are complete and accurate Analyze manufacturing overhead costs and assist in the development and maintenance of overhead allocation calculations Assist in month-end close activities, including preparation of cost‑related journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Collaborate with the Supply Chain, Operations and NetSuite teams to ensure accurate job costing and project cost tracking for product installations Prepare and distribute regular cost reports and dashboards to support management decision‑making Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting processes as they relate to cost of goods sold and operational expenses Support internal and external audits by maintaining well‑organized and accurate cost accounting records Requirements 2–5+ years of relative accounting experience Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, including inventory costing, and overhead allocation Experience using ERP systems for cost and inventory accounting NetSuite experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred CPA or CMA certification, or progress toward certification, is a plus Experience in a manufacturing or inventory‑based environment Working knowledge of month‑end close procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Experience with job costing and project‑based cost tracking Ability to analyze cost variances and communicate findings clearly to non‑accounting stakeholders Experience collaborating with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling #J-18808-Ljbffr
