Senior Associate or Counsel - Labor amp Employment

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Counsel for their Labor & Employment Group in Albany, NY. The successful candidate will manage complex investigations, litigation, and counseling matters for employers, serving as a trusted advisor and contributing to the practice's growth. Duties Conduct internal corporate and government investigations. Defend and litigate employment-related claims and agency charges. Handle wage and hour matters, including collective and class actions. Advise and train employers on labor law issues. Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations. Assist in collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions. Defend unfair labor practice filings at the NLRB and improper practice charges at PERB. Advise on FMLA, ADA, ADEA, NYS Civil Service Law, and religious accommodation requests. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission). 3-5 years of labor and employment law experience. Experience in handling investigations and litigation. Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and exercise sound judgment.
