Speech Language Pathologist SLP

MLee Medical Employment

Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in the Scenic Beauty of Idaho - Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

Imagine taking a significant step in your career that not only amplifies your professional purpose but also contributes to the upliftment of others - literally! As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Idaho's most picturesque cities, you'll engage in work that transcends just treating communication and swallowing disorders. Your dedicated efforts will cultivate potential, rehabilitate confidence, and forge connections among people of all ages-from toddlers just discovering the power of their voice, to seniors seeking renewed independence.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to work with a diverse clientele throughout their lifespan in a facility that artfully merges outpatient therapy with sporadic inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in the development of young language learners, addressing adult neurogenic communication disorders, or advancing cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for older adults, you'll find not only personal and professional fulfillment here but also the flexibility to shape your practice.

Description
  • Evaluate patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create customized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing demands.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing personnel, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide educational resources for patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Support with sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
  • Prepare precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Advance your knowledge and skills by engaging in continuing education and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days of employment.
Skills
  • Expertise in evidence-based practice for varied age groups, coupled with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to modify therapeutic techniques tailored to meet diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical judgment alongside effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and related documentation norms.
Benefits
  • Competitive pay reflective of experience.
  • Flexible work schedules, supporting an excellent work-life balance and a varied caseload.
  • Professional opportunities to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
  • Accrued paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages.
  • Support for continuing education and professional growth.
  • A collaborative, teamwork-focused environment that emphasizes quality care and lifelong education.

A Career That Moves with You - and Within You

Every day in this role presents a chance to do more than offer speech therapy; you will become an invaluable part of a collective mission dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and relishing the joy in the simplest yet profound human interactions: understanding and being understood.

In this environment, you'll work with colleagues who treat each other as family, fostering a culture that values collaboration over competition. Each patient carries a unique story, and we trust you to assist in how it is narrated.

Why You'll Adore Living and Thriving Here

Life in this beautiful part of Idaho carries a captivating rhythm that intertwines the pulse of innovation with the warmth of genuine hospitality. Nestled among stunning mountains and pristine rivers, this area offers the ideal backdrop for those yearning for a harmonious balance between nature, culture, and opportunity.

Gatherings in scenic parks greet families with live music and community picnics, while nature enthusiasts can immerse themselves in hiking trails, white-water rafting, or leisurely weekends spent exploring local farmers markets and artisan shops. Culinary adventurers will relish a broad spectrum of dining experiences, from cozy cafés to fine dining featuring the freshest local ingredients.

The community's creative spirit is expressed through dazzling murals, live local music venues, and vibrant festivals that unite people from all walks of life. Furthermore, for professionals, this region offers enhanced benefits: no state income tax, a manageable cost of living, and an expanding healthcare landscape that nurtures both personal and career development.

Whether you are at the onset of your professional journey or a seasoned clinician eager to explore new horizons, you will find the essential space to evolve here-both personally and professionally.

Who We're Eager to Welcome

We seek a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist driven not only by achieving clinical goals but also by fostering compassion. We want someone who can see a shy child and visualize their journey towards self-expression and the potential behind each spoken word, or who hears the hesitant speech of a stroke survivor and hears the resolve echoing back.

Perhaps you're a pediatric expert looking to explore adult services or a specialist in neuro-rehabilitation who seeks to blend early intervention into your practice. Regardless of your specialty, if your heart is committed to serving and your skills align with this vision, we are thrilled to invite you to join our team.

Let's Find the Right Words - Together

If you believe that communication is about more than just sound, and therapy transcends mere tasks if trust is essential before setting goals, and if laughter accompanies language, then this opportunity may just be your next significant career chapter.

Join us in a community that cherishes connection, communication, and the courage needed to embark on new beginnings. Apply now to share your unique voice with our team - and assist others in finding theirs.
