- Evaluate patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Create customized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing demands.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing personnel, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
- Provide educational resources for patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Support with sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
- Prepare precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Advance your knowledge and skills by engaging in continuing education and collaboration with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based practice for varied age groups, coupled with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to modify therapeutic techniques tailored to meet diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment alongside effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and related documentation norms.
