We have achieved this recognition by fostering a culture of leadership and accountability, offering a unique environment to our employees that cultivates individual growth and rewards performance.We have an immediate need for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Arbella at Bramble Hill, one of United Group's newest Active Adult (55+) apartment communities, currently in the construction stage in Worcester, MA.Major Tasks + Key Responsibilities:General Maintenance:Assesses and prioritizes all maintenance work to be performed on assigned siteMaintains inventory of equipment, tools, supplies, and work materialsCompletes daily work schedules for routine maintenance dutiesCompletes maintenance work orders as assignedEnsures quality of work duties performedNotifies Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager of all problems and potential issues of concernMaintains a working knowledge of all utility sources and supply linesPaints, cleans, completes maintenance items, and all other items required for the completion of the unit under renovationPerforms necessary maintenance relating to both the exterior and interiors of all buildings of the property assignedHandles emergency situations that may arise and communicates all details of the incident to the Property ManagerPerforms all phases of snow removal from all needed areas and maintains all appropriate equipmentGeneral maintenance experience include painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mowing, plowing, etc.Will be available for after hours on-call as necessaryMaintains a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employeesSpecial projects and other responsibilities may be determinedJanitorial:Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and laundry roomsSweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all shared indoor spacesEmpty and sanitize trash and recycling bins in public areas and outside entrancesDisinfect high-touch surfaces (elevator buttons, door handles, railings) regularlyClean and restock supplies in public restrooms (toilet paper, soap, paper towels)Maintain cleanliness of front entrances, vestibules, and building exterior walkwaysDust and wipe down mailboxes, baseboards, light fixtures, and lobby furnitureClean interior glass doors, mirrors, and lobby windowsRemove litter and debris from exterior property groundsJob Overview + Requirements:Job Type: Maintenance Technician; $25 per hourWork Hours: Full Time; Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (weekend hours required as needed)Training for Position: preventative maintenance, safety, and relatedPhysical Requirements: standing, kneeling, lifting, carrying, paintingRequired Education: Applicable Work HistoryRequired Experience: Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in residential property maintenanceCurrent and Valid Driver's License requiredQualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Ability to solve problems involving maintenance, safety, and challenging situationsBenefits & Time Off:Medical – Highmark BlueShield of Northeastern NY – 3 insurance plans with HSA options; eligibility 1st of the month following 30 days.Dental + Vision – eligibility 1st of the month following 30 days.Life Insurance – Company paid Basic Life Insurance Policy (1x Annual Salary) with additional Voluntary Life Plans; eligibility 1st of the month following 30 days.401K Retirement Plan – Voya Financial; Employee Contribution Eligibility at 1st of the month following 90 days; eligible for Employer Match after 1 Year of Service; up to 4% Company Match.Additional Benefits – Employee Assistance Program; United Concierge Medicine (24/7 telemedicine service, including Mental Health); Calm App premium subscription; Learning Care Group (childcare tuition discount); Dependent Care FSA; Tuition Assistance Program.PTO – Personal (24 Hours), Sick (56 Hours), and Vacation Time (80 Hours; escalated based on years of service up to 160 Hours); eligibility after 90-day Introductory Period.Holidays – 10 Company Paid Holidays.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
