PACU/Preop/Phase II Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12 hour shifts. Variable shifts include: 0700-1900, 0800-2000, 0900-2100, 1000-2200, and 1100-2300.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled PACU/Preop/Phase II Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Alaska RN license in hand. This role will require providing exceptional nursing care to patients in a pediatric environment. Candidates with pediatric experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the PACU and Preoperative settings.
• Monitor patients post-anesthesia and throughout their recovery phase.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in on-call shifts, which may include overnight and weekend hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid Alaska RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience with PACU, including knowledge of patient monitoring and care management.
• Experience in pediatrics is preferred.
