Dedicated Transportation Manager

Job Overview Dedicated Transportation Manager at EPES Transport System, LLC, a division of Penske Logistics, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The primary purpose of the Dedicated Operations Manager role is to manage the day‑to‑day operation of assigned Dedicated Account(s), ensuring that Safety, Customer, and Driver Goals are met or exceeded. The role drives profitability through contract compliance, expense mitigation, and business growth, focusing on delivering revenue, operating income, and pretax. The manager reviews financial statements to identify opportunities for improvement, working tactically and strategically to accomplish business needs. Schedule Onsite, Sunday-Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM Responsibilities Schedule customer shipments to meet service expectations, serving as the primary point of contact for tactical customer needs. Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll in accordance with company policies. Submit billing accurately and on time; collaborate with customers to resolve any billing issues promptly. Manage daily driver interactions, addressing operational concerns and escalating issues as needed. Coordinate with PTL to ensure timely preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment. Execute company safety programs, including Smart Drive, High Risk Driver Reporting, and driver coaching. Contribute to the development and execution of business plan goals, aligning daily operations with strategic objectives. Other projects and tasks as assigned. Qualifications HS Diploma / GED required. 3‑5 years of warehouse, transportation, or additional operational experience required. Leadership experience in managing teams or supervising warehouse operations required. Intermediate computer skills. Independent problem‑solving skills required. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening are required.
