Financial Accountant

Job Title

Essential Functions

• Prepare and record journal entries
• Analyze general ledger accounts as necessary
• Prepare and review monthly financials
• Reconcile all bank statements and financial accounts
• Prepare all necessary documentation for the yearly audit
• Prepare documentation for cost reports and annual 990 filings
• Maintain fixed assets and associated depreciation
• Assist with Accounts Payable
• Assist with cash deposits

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of information and records
• Communicates verbally and/or in writing to employees and outside business agencies/contacts
• Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers and external customers
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Reaches at, below and above shoulder height occasionally
• Frequently twists, stoops, bends, climbs stairs
• May occasionally lift and carry boxes of records weighing 10-30 pounds
• Occasionally pushes/pulls office equipment/supplies weighing up to 30 pounds within the office area
• 100% of work day is spent inside; sits 85% of work day, frequently at keyboard/terminal; stands 5% of work day, walks 10% of work day
• Adapts to frequent interruptions/changing situations and traffic flow
• Must be able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, co-workers, families, and the public
