3x12-Hour Shifts (Rotating Days and Nights). Day shifts from 07:00 - 19:30 and Night shifts from 19:00 - 07:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Unit. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in stepdown nursing and be prepared to provide high-quality care to patients who require more monitoring than a general medical-surgical unit can provide. This role may involve floating to other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support for patients in the stepdown unit.
• Monitor patients' conditions, vital signs, and ECG rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Document patient care accurately using the charting system.
• Participate in patient education and support activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 18 months of combined permanent experience in stepdown nursing or related specialty.
• Active Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) preferred but not required.
• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor in the specialty required.
