Sustainability Manager

Job Overview The Sustainability Manager will play a critical role in advancing MiTek’s sustainability and climate strategy, with primary responsibility for managing the company’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions program, regulatory climate disclosures, performance tracking, and sustainability reporting infrastructure. This role will serve as a central connector across functions—operations, finance, legal, communications, and facilities—translating complex data and evolving regulatory requirements into clear, actionable insights. Responsibilities Manage the annual GHG data collection and calculation process, coordinating across global sites and functions to ensure data quality, completeness, and timeliness and ensuring alignment with standards such as the GHG Protocol. Support compliance with climate‑ and emissions‑related regulatory and parent company reporting requirements, monitoring the evolving regulatory landscape and translating requirements into internal actions and reporting deliverables. Own the annual sustainability report process, including updates reflecting prior‑year performance and metrics, and partner with Communications and Marketing to produce accurate, clear content aligned with MiTek’s narrative and brand. Develop internal sustainability and climate targets, including emissions‑related goals, and manage performance tracking against those targets, preparing internal updates for leadership visibility. Support the bi‑annual climate risk assessment process, contribute to disclosures, and drive cross‑functional initiatives that strengthen long‑term resilience, regulatory readiness, and strategic positioning. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Minimum 5 years’ experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, climate reporting, or a related field, or a technical background (engineering, manufacturing, or facilities management) with an interest in sustainability. Working familiarity with sustainability and climate terminology, frameworks, and concepts such as the GHG Protocol, climate risk, and regulatory disclosures. Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross‑functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing timelines. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights and narratives. Proven ability to lead with influence, build trust across functions, and operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving environments. Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. Success Outcomes Annual GHG data and reporting processes run smoothly, on time, and with increasing data quality year over year. Regulatory climate disclosures are well‑coordinated, accurate, and aligned with internal data and governance processes. Sustainability performance and progress are clearly communicated internally and externally through MiTek’s digital channels. Internal teams are aligned around sustainability targets, priorities, and expectations—even in the face of evolving requirements.
