Putting the 'Rock' in 'Hard Rock', guests are invited to experience the legends of music by exploring Hard Rock's expansive memorabilia collection with iconic pieces from SLASH to Johnny Cash!Job SummaryThe IT Technician ensures smooth operation and accessibility of computer system resources, including back-office systems, front-of-house systems, telecommunications, and networking.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvides onsite information technology support for the entire gaming facilityInstalls new hardware, such as personal computers, printers, servers, phones, network equipment, etc.Installs and troubleshoots company approved software, web applications, and connectivity issues by utilizing general IT knowledge and working with vendor support personnel when necessaryPerforms routine maintenance on supported IT systems as required, including running backups, editing system data, running reports, etc.Creates and maintains end-user accounts and permissions as required, providing desktop supportMay perform basic installation and programming of telephone system, copy machines, printers, etc.Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documentsAssists with necessary changes to telephone system hardware and cabling, setting up new accounts when necessaryEducates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive mannerTrains staff in the use of new or changed systemsEnsures data integrity by keeping system and security rights updated while maintaining confidentiality of privileged informationMaintains inventory of all computer-related equipmentProvides guest service to internal and external guestsMay support Audio/Visual systemsPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills And AbilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management Ability to respond to common inquiries, complaints, or service requests in a timely and efficient manner Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated working knowledge of software and web applications as well as system hardwareEducation And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field preferred Two to three years of work experience in information technology or related field Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicablePhysical Requirements & Working ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
