Project Manager – Activations & Operational Integration (AOI) Stanford Health Care – Silicon Valley, California Focus: Lead complex activation projects that ensure hospitals, clinics, and patient care environments are operationally ready, fully integrated, and aligned with enterprise standards prior to go‑live. Overview This role manages the full project lifecycle—from intake through stabilization—including scope, schedule, risk mitigation, and compliance. The Project Manager coordinates across operations, facilities, IT, vendors, and leadership to align with enterprise priorities and ensure a seamless transition into steady‑state operations. Responsibilities Deliver concurrent projects of various sizes to successful completion. Follow FS&P standard work/processes, policies and procedures; develop detailed project plans and complete required documentation. Coordinate with FS&P Senior Leadership and BOSI Manager on project budget targets, status updates, and issue resolution. Utilize project management tools to report status, manage issues, identify risks, and handle escalations. Develop and maintain effective relationships with project owners, operational leaders, business services, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders. Provide backup support to Senior Project Managers on assigned projects. Coordinate post‑project review and lessons‑learned meetings following stabilization. Provide leadership while the project coordinator assembles the team and collaborates on project implementation. Balance internal and external stakeholder interests to maintain alignment of project outcomes. Incorporate Lean practices to manage stakeholder and operational leader expectations. Understand customer requirements and manage stakeholder dynamics. Facilitate project scope, schedule, future‑state processes, and operational workflows from intake to completion, ensuring projects stay in scope, on schedule, and within budget. Possess working knowledge of foundational activities (facilities, patient care services, IT, business services, patient experience, operations, supply chain, engineering & maintenance). Develop effective and attainable work plans, pursue optimization opportunities, and administer project reporting systems. Prepare and present information on operational effectiveness; organize and delegate work to achieve desired outcomes. Required Qualifications 5+ years of progressive project management experience. Demonstrated strength in project planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. Advanced communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to align diverse teams. Experience with Lean practices and project reporting tools; PMP certification preferred. Education Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a work‑related discipline from an accredited college or university. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered in addition to experience requirements. Experience At least 5 years of progressively responsible project management experience in healthcare and/or an academic medical center. Preferred: Program management of mission‑critical programs involving significant organizational complexity; leading large teams in a matrix management environment. Preferred: Developing, implementing, and monitoring process improvement initiatives and project management frameworks. Preferred: Managing project budgets, space planning, functional programming (architectural), or move management. Licenses & Certifications Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
