Pay

• Salary $42,500 - $52,500 (depending on experience)

Job Description

 

We are seeking an accountant or an experienced bookkeeper to join our growing hospitality management team. In this role, you will be working closely with the controller and the rest of the accounting team to service our managed locations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

• Process accounts payable and checks requests
• Research invoices and resolve vendor disputes
• Verify expenses meet contract and budget criteria
• Assist in accounts receivable management
• Intercompany billing and transfers
• GL account reconciliation
• Assist with loan reporting
• Assist with month-end adjusting entries
• Analyze data for opportunities/issues
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Payroll management for multiple locations – depending on existing experience.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Proficient in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
• Comfortable with technology
• Team player willing to pitch in on general office tasks/errands as needed

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two to five years of related experience required

Other Desired Qualifications:

• Payroll experience – ADP specifically a plus
• Sales tax experience – North Carolina & South Carolina
• Hospitality accounting experience is a plus
• College degree or coursework in accounting
• QuickBooks Online Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
• Infrequent travel to hotel sites may be required
