Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; 2 years preferred License: Registered Nurse license (State or Compact) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or relevant equivalent Must-Have: 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty or 18 months with the highest level of professional license. Description: This position requires the nurse to float to other units when necessary. The role involves caring for patients with kidney-related conditions, such as acute or chronic kidney disease. The position may involve caring for patients requiring renal replacement therapy. Nurses in this specialty typically have a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. The team collaborates effectively with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to ensure optimal patient care. The nurses support patients through every step of their healthcare journey, from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. Specialization includes post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care. Shifts will include working every other weekend and possibly on holidays. The unit values teamwork and dedication to patient care within a robust collaboration framework.
